Three environments, one image-based approach
Whole machines and whole VMs, captured as recoverable images — not file-level copies of your documents.
Windows machines
Workstations, POS terminals, and servers. A full disk image — OS, applications, settings, and data — with bare-metal restore to replacement hardware, or spin the machine straight back up as a VM.
Linux servers
Physical Linux servers imaged whole, with the same bare-metal and physical-to-virtual recovery paths. A dead box becomes a restore, not a rebuild.
Hyper-V · Proxmox · VMware
Agentless, host-level protection for Hyper-V, Proxmox VE, and VMware vSphere — Proxmox VMs and LXC containers included. Configure it once at the host and every guest is covered.
Downtime is the cost — not the backup
A POS terminal or back-office PC down means the store can't take payments. A failed host or corrupted VM means the whole business stops. Getting the machine back fast is the entire point.
→File backup won't save you
Reinstalling the OS, the line-of-business software, drivers, printers, and configuration is most of the work. A full-system image brings all of it back at once — not just your documents.
→Ransomware can't encrypt your backups
Backups are written to immutable, write-once storage — once saved, they can't be altered or deleted for their retention window, even by an attacker who has gained full admin access to your network. When ransomware hits, we roll you back to a clean image from before the infection.
→Rebuild vs. restore
Rebuilding a Windows machine from scratch is a full day, minimum. Restoring an image is measured in hours — the store is taking payments again while a rebuild would still be installing updates.
→Don't wait for hardware
A physical machine can be recovered as a virtual machine in Hyper-V or VMware while a replacement is still in transit. Someone is working again today, not next week.
→Nothing gets forgotten
Virtual environments are protected at the host, so a VM spun up last night is already covered — no per-machine step to remember, and nothing quietly left unprotected.
→Every site, one console
Multiple locations are managed centrally with consistent protection everywhere — the same coverage at the branch as at head office.
→We're the ones watching
Backups are monitored by us. Failures are caught and fixed before they matter — not discovered by you in the middle of an emergency.
→No surprise storage bills
Storage is a fixed monthly amount for your allotment — not a metered bill that balloons when a backup grows. If your data outgrows the plan, we right-size it with you at the review; you're never hit with per-gigabyte overage charges.

Configure your backup plan
You know your environment better than we can guess from outside. Tell us what you're running for a live estimate — protection is licensed per workload, and hypervisor hosts are never charged.
Full-image protection with bare-metal and physical-to-virtual restore.
Agentless, host-level protection. Hypervisor hosts aren't charged — you license per guest, so new VMs are covered automatically.
Encrypted cloud storage for your backups — $18 / TB / month.
Rule of thumb: add up the used disk space across every machine and VM, then divide by 2 — compression and deduplication typically halve it, and more when machines are similar builds.
Example: 20 machines averaging 150 GB used = ~3 TB raw, roughly 1.5 TB stored — a 2 TB allotment fits with headroom.
A guess can't hurt you: we review the allotment after your first full backup completes (about the first 60 days) and adjust it to actual usage — up or down. Longer retention means more storage.
Common questions
What actually happens when a machine dies?
We restore its most recent full image — to the same hardware, to a replacement machine, or as a virtual machine if hardware isn't on hand yet. The whole system comes back: operating system, applications, settings, and data, exactly as it was, rather than being rebuilt from scratch.
How fast is recovery?
Restoring an image is measured in hours, where a from-scratch rebuild of a Windows machine is a full day at minimum. If replacement hardware isn't available, we can bring the machine back as a VM so someone is working again the same day.
Is the whole machine covered, or just files?
The whole machine. This is image-based backup, not file sync — the entire disk is captured as a recoverable image. You still get granular recovery when you want it: individual files or folders can be pulled from an image without restoring the whole system.
How is VM backup different from putting an agent on each one?
It's agentless and configured at the host. Protection is set up once on the Hyper-V, Proxmox, or VMware host and every guest is covered — so new VMs are protected automatically instead of waiting for someone to remember to install an agent.
Where is our backup data stored?
In encrypted cloud object storage, through a backup console we host and operate ourselves — not a rebadged reseller portal. Your data is encrypted before it leaves your infrastructure, and each customer is isolated in their own tenant with separate storage and its own key.
What stops ransomware from destroying our backups?
Backups are written to immutable, write-once storage: once a backup is saved it can't be altered or deleted for its retention window — even by someone with full administrator access to your network. Ransomware that encrypts your live machines can't reach the backups, so we recover you from a clean image taken before the infection. Paired with encryption before data ever leaves your infrastructure, a stolen or tampered copy is both unreadable and unchangeable.
Who monitors the backups?
We do. Backups are watched on our side, so a failed or missed job is caught and fixed by us — not discovered by you during an emergency.
What if I under-estimate storage?
It's not a problem. The storage allotment is reviewed after your first full backup completes — roughly the first 60 days — and adjusted to your actual usage, in either direction. Compression and deduplication usually cut real usage to around half of raw disk size. Data-heavy systems like file servers are quoted separately.
Are there overage charges if we go over our storage?
No. Storage is billed as a fixed monthly amount for your allotment — not metered by the gigabyte — so a backup growing never triggers a surprise charge. If your usage is consistently outgrowing the plan, we right-size the allotment with you at the review rather than billing overages.
Can we use our own storage?
Yes. If you'd rather keep backups on storage you control — an S3-compatible object store, a NAS, or a local repository — select Bring Your Own Storage in the configurator and the managed cloud-storage line drops off entirely. You run the storage and its cost; we run the backups and the monitoring. We confirm the target is compatible and reachable during setup.
